Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) Emergency Contacts Information
WA Police is the Hazard Management Agency responsible for managing road accidents. The senior attending Police Officer becomes the Incident Controller for the duration of the emergency. MRWA is responsible for providing traffic control for an emergency on State roads, and the local government for an emergency on a local road.
If you become aware of an accident on a road, State or local, you should immediately ring 000 and request police, and DFES or ambulance if required, attendance.
If the accident is on a local road, please also contact the Manager Works and Services or CEO at the Shire.
If the accident is on a State road such as Coalfields Road or Albany Hwy, please also use the following contacts:

Do not attempt to provide your own traffic control as this should only be done by appropriately trained, qualified and insured operators.
