Glenorchy Bridge is now open to vehicles to a maximum of 8 tonne.  Please obey the load limit, or Main Roads will close the bridge.

Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) Emergency Contacts Information

WA Police is the Hazard Management Agency responsible for managing road accidents. The senior attending Police Officer becomes the Incident Controller for the duration of the emergency. MRWA is responsible for providing traffic control for an emergency on State roads, and the local government for an emergency on a local road.

If you become aware of an accident on a road, State or local, you should immediately ring 000 and request police, and DFES or ambulance if required, attendance. 

If the accident is on a local road, please also contact the Manager Works and Services or CEO at the Shire.

If the accident is on a State road such as Coalfields Road or Albany Hwy, please also use the following contacts:

• If you cannot get through, call MRWA Wheatbelt Incident Manager on 0409 113 011.
• If you cannot get through, call MRWA Wheatbelt Deputy Incident Manager on 0409 756 483.

Outside Office Hours

• If you cannot get through, call MRWA Duty Officer (Lendlease Contractor) on 08 9622 4787.
• If you cannot get through, call MRWA Afterhours Incident Manager on 0428 664 120.
• If you cannot get through, call MRWA Wheatbelt Incident Manager on 0409 113 011.

Do not attempt to provide your own traffic control as this should only be done by appropriately trained, qualified and insured operators.
