  • Answering incoming calls and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Processing Department of Transport (DoT) licensing.
  • Handling mail and preparing correspondence.
  • Performing general office duties to support the smooth operation of our team.

Position Vacant - General Hand Labourer

The Shire of West Arthur is currently seeking applications from experienced, reliable and trustworthy people to fill 2 x General Hand Labourer positions within the Works Crew. 

Key Requirements:

  • Must hold a current 'C' class driver's licence.
  • Be able to perform labouring duties for 70% of work time as required.
  • Operate assigned plant as directed and maintain assigned plant for 30% of work time as required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, as instructed by direct supervisors, Manager Works and Services, and that lost time is kept to a minimum.
  • Liaise with Manager Works and Services / Supervisor and other staff harmoniously and productively.

Position Vacant - Shop Assistant

The Shire of West Arthur is seeking a Shop Assistant for a Pop-up Shop located in Darkan, scheduled to open in September. This will be a casual role during the school holidays and rostered weekends. Youth aged 15 to 25 years are encouraged to apply. No experience is required, all necessary training will be provided to successful applicants.

Main Duties will include:

  • Opening and closing of shop
  • Serving customers
  • Making coffee
  • Serving food
  • Restocking shelves
  • Cleaning of shop
  • Keeping a record of purchases

Training provided:

  • Customer service 
  • Food handling 
  • Barista
