Our Council

The Shire of West Arthur is an elected body charged with the management of communities affairs in accordance with the legislative requirements under the local government act 1995. Council meets every fourth Tuesday of the month with question time for electors at the beginning of each meeting. Agendas can be obtained from the Shire office on the Monday before the meeting and minutes are available for public inspection.

The chief executive officer and other Shire officers have delegated authority from the council to make specified decisions and to implement and administer the policy of the Council. Council staff provide a variety of services to the community.
