Darkan has a 25 metre pool which opens from late October to the end of April.
The pool facilities include:
- Change rooms, including unisex accessible
- Changing table
- Ample shade areas
- Toddler pool

Note: Children under 4 enter free. In addition, children under 5 must be constantly supervised and be within arms length of their guardian/carer.
Any child under the age of 10 must be constantly supervised by a competent person over 16 years.
Memberships can be purchased at the Council Admin Centre (EFTPOS facilities available) or online here.
Once membership is paid for, you will be provided with a tag (per person for family memberships) that you must show upon seeking entry to the pool. Tags are to be collected from the Shire Admin Centre.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
- Patrons are admitted to the Darkan Aquatic Facility at their own risk.
- Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person at any time or to remove any person who is reasonably suspected of disruptive or disorderly conduct – including, but not limited to; verbally or physically threatening staff or other customers; swearing aloud; acting inappropriately; and gaining or attempting to gain unauthorised and/or wrongful access.
- Management reserves the right to conduct random bag checks or obligatory checks on all bags including eskies.
- Children ten (10) years and under entering the facility must be supervised by an adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) at all times.
- Children five (5) years and under must be accompanied in the water and within arm’s reach of an adult or person over the age of sixteen (16) at all times.
- Management is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
- You may be filmed or photographed while in the centre for promotional purposes by Contract Aquatic & Mega Splash approved media.
- You may also be filmed or photographed via security cameras.
- This is a non-smoking/vaping facility. Smoking/vaping is not permitted within the in centre.
- Smoking/vaping is also not permitted within five (5) metres of the buildings or entry.
- Drugs and alcohol are strictly not permitted in the facility, nor is anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- The use of all cameras, including smart phones, is prohibited in all change rooms.
- This is a glass free facility; only bring in plastic water bottles and/or cans.
- No scooters or furniture is to be brought into the facility.
- Private music: guests are welcome to play their own music within the facility. However, any music that is deemed vulgar, offensive, or disruptive to the enjoyment of others may be requested to be turned down or turned off at the discretion of the facility manager.
- Large Inflatables and Items: The use of large inflatables or items that may disrupt the enjoyment or safe use of the facility may be restricted or removed, depending on patron numbers and at the discretion of the facility manager.
- Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in guests being asked to leave the pool and subsequently have their membership revoked for the remainder of the season.
