Telstra will be upgrading its mobile base station Darkan South (Trigwell Road Bridge, Arthur River. These improvement works will temporarily impact Telstra mobile coverage and performance in Darkan and surrounds. Customers in the area are likely to experience slower than usual data speeds on 26th September 2024.
- 26th September 2024 from 0700 hours till 1600 hours : there will be a continuous outage of all mobile services from this site.
Telstra mobile customers will receive text messages advising of the upcoming work.
Landline services, NBN internet services and mobile coverage from other providers will not be impacted. Any calls to Triple Zero from a Telstra mobile when the site is off air will automatically be diverted to any working mobile network for connection to emergency services.
If all goes according to plan and weather permitting the mobile upgrade will be completed on the 26thSeptember 2024.
